"Food here is amazing! I asked if they could make the guacamole spicy and they knocked it out. Perfect amount of lime, spice, and yummy. I had their pork birria tacos and they were sooooo good. Best I’ve had in the States, I will be back for more. Owners are extremely sweet. You can tell they care about their food and keeping a clean, friendly place to enjoy it in. "First time here. We tried the Jibarito chicken sandwich with yucca fries. We also ordered a chicken and potato empanada. We loved it. The owner came out and she was so polite and explained that she is making the food all from scratch. The green sauce is highly recommend. We I’ll be back."

"I had gone to Puerto Rico on vacation once, and I have to say this restaurant was tastier than what I had over there. The Jibarito Sandwhich is so good. I had the pork one. It was tender and flavorful. We also had the Caribbean Sampler, it had: yuca fries, sweet plantains, tostones, and flautas accompanied with a sweet sauce and a very yummy green sauce. The owner greeted us and said she loved to cook. We complimented her food. Definitely recommend if you're looking for good Puerto Rican food."

"My husband and I stopped in here for dinner last night and everyone was so welcoming and helpful even though we showed up just a half hour before closing time. It was quiet and seasonal and super comfy inside They recommended the Birria tacos which was what we were debating on anyway and I'm so glad they did!! We try Birria everywhere we go and these were by far the best. Crispy corn tortillas, meat was flavorful and delicious toppings were tasty and the perfect amount of cheese for me! The dipping sauce was better than the usual au ju. It was thick and rich and so so good! The owner was also telling us their sauce is made separate from the meat so that it can also be used with the vegetarian tacos!! Mind blown! Lol definitely recommend if you love Birria and are in the Elgin area. They also have lots of other stuff too!"
